What's eating Amber Grape?

After a less than exciting day at work yesterday, I traveled an hour south to Robb & Stucky to meet with Francine. I walk in and greet the front desk girl and this is how the dialogue panned out,
Me - "If I were Francine, where would I be?"
Girl - "At home."
Me - "Quoi?"
Girl - "She mistakingly thought she was scheduled today, but she wasn't. She won't be here until Monday."
Me - "Um, okay. Well can I at least leave my information for her?"
Girl - "Yes. Sorry about the wasted trip."
Me - "Well, now I'm across from the mall, so I'm going to go spend my money at least."
So, another hour back home and I realize that this arrangement isn't working out for me. All I've gotten is a long game of phone tag, a speeding ticket, and wasted gas let alone time. I'm still in the three-digit zone for needing hours and my work is scheduling me more and more as my time frame is closing quickly.
Plan B, try to take up the offer from the guest speaker our materials class had from Benjamin Moore. Try to put in some hours there, and learn how to actually use paint. So, just after I finish my little tree of grapes, I'm going to run errands in the direction of the paint store with the whole new line, and hopefully get accepted to work myself to death for free.
Then, come home and try to crank out a business plan while finishing up my presentation on drywall.
