Paper Art
Here's something interesting my Engineer friend showed me while I was brushing up my AutoCAD skills at his office. The artist's name is Peter Callesen and he makes paper art, but you'll see what I mean.
A Virtue
So, considering I expedited my pre-approval pre-weekend + 3 holidays, I sit here awaiting further response. Just watching paint dry as all my potentials are flying off of the market.
I'm, of course, referring to my house hunt, operation relocation/migration.
A lot of waiting around, vague answers, little responses...
Its a really difficult process that I would just like to be over with & moved out already.
I'm dreading the time when I'll be subjected to hours upon signing & reading of contracts.
Honestly, like most, I don't do well under that kind of environment and that's how when I purchased my last car, I was pressured into quite a bit of unwelcomed false pretense.
Though, I am determined & hopeful to make this op clean, lucrative, & fun.
Adversely, I want to take this time out to denote my adoration for Google & their quest for global domination. I really would've never predicted the growth to come of the search engine, but I'm finding myself more & more attached to the products offered.
I'm downloading Picasa as we speak, & I'm excited to set up base throughout the many medias Google has.
Also, my internship with Robb & Stucky has thus far consisted of phone tag. Considering the hours needed to be logged for my Practicum, I'm decreasingly hopeful of a grand finale to this semester.
Guess I'll make use of my time researching Drywall & blindly arranging a business.

Design Software
On the Blackboard, our professor posted a discussion board regarding Minutes Matter Studio. Though, I haven't really gotten a chance to really explore it, it does seem like a very Interior Design-oriented program with some really good features. I'd download the free-trial, but I'll either have to wait for my laptop to come back from being repaired, or upgrade this desktop, which I need doing anyways.
For now, I'll stick with AutoCAD [which I need to brush up on anyways] & Google Sketchup.

Loans, Lights, & Irons - oh my!
I spent my morning on the phone with Bank of America regarding home loan approvals. Mind you, this being my first time attempting everything, my answers tend to involve 'I don't know,' or 'sure.'
I feel as though there's a huge disconnect between these people involved with my house hunt, and myself.
There's a lack of understanding between myself and the loan officers. [Wish they were still keen on face-to-face interactions]
There's a lack of communication between myself and the real estate agents. [Think they'd want their money!]
And there's a lack of communication between myself and my partner in crime.
I know what I'm looking for, I just need everyone else to play ball.
Next, I attended the LED Lighting C.E.U. at the Kight center in IRSC.
Though I had a rough time getting myself together initially, once I discovered the sugar cookies, I seemed to have gotten a better grip on things.
The entire time I was admiring his PowerPoint presentation & tried to obtain ideas for my next exciting presentation, drywall!
We did end up getting a pen that lights [but doesn't write] and a jump drive filled with Eddison inspired goodies.
He really did emphasize some things that seemed like common sense, only after he mentioned them.
I'll get to add to this if I get to attend the Robb & Stucky seminar next Thursday, just after class & just before the recycling seminar.
I had to leave the lighting C.E.U. a bit early so I could rush down to Stuart to help an Angela Poag, an interior designer set up her showroom at the Cashel Residence.
I was in love with all the historic, yet modern details.
The spatial layout was less than inviting, but old mansions usually are.
I spent alot of time running up and down the stairs only to go down some more [flannel] stairs into the dark & ominous basement.
Quite the cardio.
After some minor pack-muling, she had me iron a blanket.
This sounds simple enough, but it actually was one of the most resilient, stubborn blankets I've ever ironed.
Who am I kidding, I don't iron!
The other interesting thing at the Cashel house was the [drunken] painter we had to mind. He would've never figured out that door lock!
Really amazing architecture in that place though, I'm excited to room docent now!
My sweater weather night is coming to a close, and I fear that my classes kind of took to a back burner for today.
However, another class tomorrow. I can organize all over again & get right back into the grind of things.
I'll post some photos tomorrow.
