During Materials class today, [Happy Earth Day], we had a guest speaker, Gale, from USGBC of South Florida. She was really inspiring, & made me really want to get more involved. At first, I thought, let me make another blog dedicated solely to my Green endeavors. Then, I took it a step further & decided that I really want to devote time to a green movement through networking, blogs, etc., just to relay information & research regarding all things Green. That made me decide that partnering up would really be beneficial, & who better than Wendy! We seem to be on the same page with alot of things. We're both technologically inclined, advocate green, & are starting our lives with a new house, our significant others' support there for our advantage. Wendy is already utilizing green practices, & I'm so far heavy on the research end. Hopefully we can start a blog or webpage & just try to convey ideas that are surpassed by fads & consumption.
What a better day to begin than on Earth Day =D

Art Show
The Art Show Competition began today. Walking into the Kight center is an army of 2D tables illuminating Graphic Design portraits, & then you turn right towards the elevator & everything's erected! The 3D display of Interior Design tables is definitely a sight. Wendy & I set up 'The Office,' our staged theme for presenting our portfolios. I'll post corresponding photos later.

Graphic Design Competition
Dr. Bredemeyer offered for Wendy and I to present our Portfolios at the Graphic Design competition.
After receiving her email regarding some revisions to my Portfolio, all I have to do is edit some as well as put together Wendy & my grand scheme for the table.
Being Interior Design students, we wanted to stage an office table with our projects streaming on a laptop & digital photo frame.
We've already accumulated pieces for the presentation, now we just need the piece-de-resistance, the chair!
We shall see how it goes Tuesday.

Pre-Presentation
Am I nervous about tomorrow?
Yes/No
Do I think I'm prepared?
Yes/No
Does the 10 minute allotment scare me?
Yes/No
A few final preparations & I'm off to battle tomorrow.
I'm so-so about any question I could ask myself in regards to my presentations.
I'm just going to try to relax & brace myself for potential outcome.
One more trip to Office Max to make some copies, (I really wish I could find the resources I need on campus), and then a good night's rest should do the trick.
Wish me luck =D

Notes &
So, I've managed to update my logsheet, my time, & start filling out my new planner.
I have yet to finish my,
I have yet to finish my,
- portfolio logsheets [including Volunteer hours (Cashel)]
- an internship letter template [Kegel!]
- type up & send my kitchen designer interview
- figure out a way to present my Green Project
- somehow complete my business plan [contract template, project hours]
I also need to contact the Benjamin Moore rep this week to see about some Volunteer hours. Hopefully I can avoid an incomplete. I can take a 'B'. Seems par for the course for me so far.
And besides that, find a way to fall asleep. Its 2:30am & my head is far from rested.
P.S.
End of April I should have a house!
Princess Di.
Oh, the importance of a good planner.
I think I've finally found a suitable one. I can't keep the inconsistent BlackBerry forever.
I also obtained a good Portfolio binder & carrying case tonight!
I used the opportune proximity to print my files as well, so with a few more prints & binds, my Practicum will be all wrapped up.
After inerting some more links I have written down, & perhaps revising a few things, my Materials last project [E-Resource] should be complete, though, the file will never really be complete.
And with just a few more productive hours on my business project, I should be more than prepared for next week's presentations.
This can be all thanks to Diana for motivating me in the right direction even though she probably thinks that I just helped her. She's a good partner in crime for this field. As is Wendy, whom I can never seem to get ahold of. Oh well, our independence certainly reflects our strengths, & when we come together, it only gets stronger.
Also, my internship has been getting better & better. Though, its been very difficult to quickly expedite tasks on the corrupted Sketchup files I'm working with. The importance of layers, grouping, & components really comes out. Once walls & floors go awry, the whole thing is a mess. So, my time frames might appear a bit lacking.
I just hope I can end this semester on a good note, I'm very optimistic!
